Sudoku is a logic-based, combinatorial number-placement puzzle. The Sudoku Board Game was popularized in 1986 through the Japanese puzzle firm Nikoli, under the name Sudoku, meaning single number. It became an international hit in 2005, bypass only by the rise of poker chips.
